![﴿إِنَّ الَّذينَ آمَنوا وَالَّذينَ هادوا وَالنَّصارى وَالصّابِئينَ مَن آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَاليَومِ الآخِرِ وَعَمِلَ صالِحًا فَلَهُم أَجرُهُم عِندَ رَبِّهِم وَلا خَوفٌ عَلَيهِم وَلا هُم يَحزَنونَوَإِذ أَخَذنا ميثاقَكُم وَرَفَعنا فَوقَكُمُ الطّورَ خُذوا ما آتَيناكُم بِقُوَّةٍ وَاذكُروا ما فيهِ لَعَلَّكُم تَتَّقونَثُمَّ تَوَلَّيتُم مِن بَعدِ ذلِكَ فَلَولا فَضلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيكُم وَرَحمَتُهُ لَكُنتُم مِنَ الخاسِرينَوَلَقَد عَلِمتُمُ الَّذينَ اعتَدَوا مِنكُم فِي السَّبتِ فَقُلنا لَهُم كونوا قِرَدَةً خاسِئينَفَجَعَلناها نَكالًا لِما بَينَ يَدَيها وَما خَلفَها وَمَوعِظَةً لِلمُتَّقينَوَإِذ قالَ موسى لِقَومِهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَأمُرُكُم أَن تَذبَحوا بَقَرَةً قالوا أَتَتَّخِذُنا هُزُوًا قالَ أَعوذُ بِاللَّهِ أَن أَكونَ مِنَ الجاهِلينَقالُوا ادعُ لَنا رَبَّكَ يُبَيِّن لَنا ما هِيَ قالَ إِنَّهُ يَقولُ إِنَّها بَقَرَةٌ لا فارِضٌ وَلا بِكرٌ عَوانٌ بَينَ ذلِكَ فَافعَلوا ما تُؤمَرونَقالُوا ادعُ لَنا رَبَّكَ يُبَيِّن لَنا ما لَونُها قالَ إِنَّهُ يَقولُ إِنَّها بَقَرَةٌ صَفراءُ فاقِعٌ لَونُها تَسُرُّ النّاظِرينَ﴾ [سورة البقرة: ٦٢-٦٩]](https://i0.wp.com/adbaik.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/010.jpg?ssl=1)
( Indeed, those who believed and those who were Jews and the Christians and the Sabians – those who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteousness – will have their reward with their Lord, and there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve ) (62)
Indeed, those who believed from this nation, as well as those who believed from the nations of the past before the mission of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) – Jews, Christians, and Sabians – who are a group of followers of some of the prophets – those in whom faith in Allah and the Last Day was realized – will have their reward with their Lord, and there will be no fear concerning them of what they will face in the Hereafter, nor will they grieve over what they missed of this world.
( And when We took your covenant and raised the mountain above you, [saying], “Take what We have given you with determination and remember what is in it that you may become righteous ) (63)
And remember what We took from you of the firm covenant of faith in God and His messengers, and We raised the mountain above you as a warning to you and a reminder against abandoning the covenant, commanding you to take what We revealed to you of the Torah with seriousness and diligence without negligence or laziness, and to preserve what is in it and ponder it, so that by doing so you may become righteous and fear the punishment of God Almighty.
( Then you turned away after that. And if it were not for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy, you would have been among the losers ) (64)
So what was done to you but that you turned away and disobeyed after the firm covenant had been taken from you. And if it were not for the favor of Allah upon you in pardoning you and His mercy in accepting your repentance, you would have been among the losers because of that turning away and disobedience.
( And you certainly knew of those among you who transgressed on the Sabbath, So We said to them, “Be apes, despised ) (65)
And you certainly knew of the story of your forefathers with no doubt whatsoever, as they transgressed by hunting on the Sabbath, on which hunting was forbidden to them. So they devised a way around that by setting up nets before the Sabbath and taking them out on Sunday. So God made these deceivers into despised apes as a punishment for their deception.
( So We made it an example for those before it and those after it and a lesson for the righteous ) (66)
So We made this transgressing village an example for the neighboring villages and a lesson for those who come after it, so that they do not do what it did and deserve its punishment. And We made it a reminder for the righteous who fear God’s punishment and vengeance against those who transgress His limits.
( And when Moses said to his people, “Indeed, Allah commands you to slaughter a cow,” they said, “Do you take us in mockery?” He said, “I seek refuge in Allah from being among the ignorant ) (67)
And remember from the story of your forefathers what transpired between them and Moses, peace be upon him, when he informed them of God’s command to slaughter a cow. Instead of hastening to do so, they said obstinately, “Do you make us a laughingstock?” So Moses said, “I seek refuge in Allah from being among those who lie about Allah and mock people.
They said, “Call upon your Lord to make clear to us what it is.” He said, “He says, ‘It is a cow neither old nor young, but of middle age between that. So do as you are commanded ) (68)
They said to Moses, “Call upon your Lord for us so that He may make clear to us the description of the cow that He has commanded us to slaughter.” He said to them, “God says that it is a cow that is neither too old nor too young, but of middle age between the two. So hasten to obey the command of your Lord.
( They said, “Call upon your Lord to make clear to us what its color is.” He said, “He says, ‘It is a yellow cow, bright in color, pleasing to the observers ) (69)
They continued their argument and stubbornness, saying to Moses, peace be upon him: “Call upon your Lord to show us what color it is.” So Moses said to them: “God says: It is a yellow cow, very yellow, that pleases everyone who looks at it.

The ruling mentioned in the first verse pertains to the period before the Prophet’s mission.
The Prophet prayed, but after his mission, the religion pleasing to God is Islam; He does not accept any other, as God Almighty said: “And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him.” [Al Imran 85]
God may hasten the punishment for some sins in this world before the Hereafter, so that it may serve as a reminder for people to take heed and avoid disobeying God Almighty’s commands.
Whoever makes things difficult for himself and is strict with himself regarding matters that are permissible in Islamic law may be punished by being made strict with himself.
