( And when there came to them a Book from God confirming what was with them – and before they used to seek victory over those who disbelieved – but when there came to them that which they recognized, they disbelieved in it; so the curse of God is upon the disbelievers ) (89)
When the Holy Quran came to them from God, and it was in agreement with what was in the Torah and the Gospel in the correct general principles, and before its revelation they used to say: We will triumph over the polytheists and victory will be granted to us when a prophet is sent, so we will believe in him and follow him. But when the Quran and Muhammad came to them in the manner they knew and the truth they knew, they disbelieved in it. So the curse of God is upon those who disbelieve in God and His Messenger.
( How evil is that for which they have sold themselves – that they would disbelieve in what Allah has revealed, out of envy that Allah should send down His bounty upon whom He wills of His servants. So they have earned wrath upon wrath. And for the disbelievers is a humiliating punishment ) (90)
How wretched is that which they exchanged for their own share of faith in God and His messengers! They disbelieved in what God revealed and rejected His messengers, out of injustice and envy because of the revelation of prophethood and the Quran to Muhammad (peace be upon him). Thus, they deserved double wrath from God Almighty for their disbelief in Muhammad (peace be upon him) and for their previous distortion of the Torah. And for those who disbelieve in the prophethood of Muhammad (peace be upon him), there is a humiliating punishment on the Day of Resurrection.
( And when it is said to them, “Believe in what Allah has revealed,” they say, “We believe in what was revealed to us,” and they disbelieve in what came after it, while it is the truth confirming what is with them. Say, “Then why did you kill the prophets of Allah before, if you were believers? ) (91)
And if these Jews are told, “Believe in what God has revealed to His Messenger of truth and guidance,” they say, “We believe in what was revealed to our prophets,” and they disbelieve in everything else revealed to Muhammad (peace be upon him), even though this Quran is the truth that agrees with what they have from God. If they truly believed in what was revealed to them, they would believe in the Quran. Say, O Prophet, in response to them: “Why did you kill God’s prophets before, if you truly believed in the truth they brought you ?
( And Moses came to you with clear proofs, then you took the calf [for worship] after him, while you were wrongdoers ) (92)
Your messenger Moses, peace be upon him, came to you with clear signs indicating his truthfulness; then after that you made the calf a god to worship after Moses went to the appointed time with his Lord, and you are wrongdoers for associating partners with God, who alone is worthy of worship without any other.
( And when We took your covenant and raised the mountain above you, [We said], “Take what We have given you with determination and listen.” They said, “We have heard and disobeyed.” And they absorbed [the love of] the calf into their hearts because of their disbelief. Say, “How evil is that which your faith enjoins upon you, if you should be believers ) (93)
And remember when We took a firm covenant from you to follow Moses, peace be upon him, and to accept what he brought from God. We raised the mountain above you as a warning, and said to you, “Take what We have given you of the Torah with earnestness and diligence, and listen with acceptance and submission, or We will cause the mountain to fall upon you.” But you said, “We heard with our ears, but we disobeyed with our actions.” And the worship of the calf took root in your hearts because of your disbelief. Say, O Prophet, “How wretched is that which this faith commands you to do—disbelief in God—if you are believers, for true faith cannot coexist with disbelief.

The Jews are the most envious of people; their envy led them to disbelieve in God and reject what was revealed because the Messenger was not one of them.
True faith in God Almighty necessitates belief in all the revealed scriptures and all the messengers He sent.
One of the greatest injustices is turning away from truth and guidance after knowing it and having the evidence for it.
It is the habit of the Jews to break covenants and agreements, and this has been their practice to this day.
