Say, “If the home of the Hereafter with Allah is for you alone, to the exclusion of other people, then wish for death, if you should be truthful.” [Al-Baqarah: 94]

Say, O Prophet: If you Jews have –

Paradise in the Hereafter is exclusively for you, and no one else will enter it. So wish for death and seek it, so that you may attain this status quickly and be relieved of the burdens and worries of this worldly life, if you are truthful in your claim.

They will never wish for it, because of what their hands have put forth. And Allah is Knowing of the wrongdoers. [Al-Baqarah: 95]

They will never wish for death because of what they did in their lives of disbelief in God, denial of His messengers, and distortion of His books. God is All-Knowing of the wrongdoers among them and others, and He will reward each according to his deeds.

And you will surely find them the most greedy of people for life – even more than those who associate others with Allah. One of them would wish to live a thousand years, but it would not remove him in the least from the punishment even if he were granted such a long life. And Allah is Seeing of what they do. [Al-Baqarah: 96]

And you will surely find, O Prophet, the Jews are the most eager of people for life, however lowly and humiliating it may be. Indeed, they are even more eager than the polytheists who do not believe in resurrection and reckoning. And despite being People of the Book, and believing in resurrection and reckoning, each one of them would love to live a thousand years, and nothing will keep him away from God’s punishment, no matter how long his life may be. And God is aware of their deeds and sees them, nothing is hidden from Him, and He will recompense them for them.

Say, “Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel – it is because he has brought it down upon your heart, [O Muhammad], by permission of Allah, confirming what was before it and as guidance and good tidings for the believers.” [Al-Baqarah: 97]

Say, O Prophet, to those among the Jews who said, “Gabriel is our enemy among the angels.” Whoever is hostile to Gabriel, it is he who brought down the Qur’an to your heart by permission of God, confirming what came before of the divine books, such as the Torah and the Gospel, and indicating good, and bringing good tidings to the believers of what God has prepared for them of bliss. So whoever is hostile to one who has this characteristic and action is among the misguided.

Whoever is an enemy to Allah and His angels and His messengers and Gabriel and Michael – then indeed, Allah is an enemy to the disbelievers. [Al-Baqarah: 98]

Whoever is hostile to God, His angels, and His messengers, and hostile to the two angels close to Him: Gabriel and Michael, then God is an enemy to the disbelievers among you and others, and whoever has God as his enemy has returned with manifest loss.

And We have certainly sent down to you clear verses, and none disbelieves in them except the defiantly disobedient. [Al-Baqarah: 99]

And We have sent down to you, O Prophet, clear signs of your truthfulness in what you have brought of prophethood and revelation. None disbelieves in them despite their clarity and explanation except those who have gone astray from the religion of God.

“Is it that every time they make a covenant, a party of them throws it away? Rather, most of them do not believe.” [Al-Baqarah: 100]

The Jews are in a bad state because whenever they make a covenant with themselves – including believing in what the Torah indicates about the prophethood of Muhammad – a group of them breaks it. In fact, most of these Jews do not truly believe in what God Almighty has revealed, because faith requires fulfilling the covenant.

And when there came to them a Messenger from Allah confirming what was with them, a party of those who were given the Scripture threw the Scripture of Allah behind their backs as if they did not know. [Al-Baqarah: 101]

When Muhammad (peace be upon him) came to them as a messenger from God, and he was in accordance with what was in the Torah regarding his description, a group of them turned away from what it indicated and threw it behind their backs, not caring about it, similar to the state of the ignorant person who does not benefit from what it contains of truth and guidance, so he does not care about it.

Benefits from page 15

The true believer hopes for the eternal bliss with God, and therefore rejoices in meeting God and does not fear death.

The Jews’ attachment to worldly life, even if it is a vile, humiliating, and dishonorable life.

Whoever is hostile to God’s close friends is hostile to God Almighty.

God. The Jews’ rejection of Muhammad’s prophethood after they knew he confirmed what they had in their Torah.

Whoever does not benefit from his knowledge can rightly be described as ignorant, because he resembles the ignorant in his ignorance.
